News
Back to normality

3/2/2006

I started vaulting three weeks from now, with a short run and I'm trying to get back to normality in my trainnings. I'm achieving it. I have my back pain controlled due to an intense strength work in my lower back and abdominal zones and some exercices to correct my pelvis position.

Now I'm preparing myself for the first league meetings, the European Champions Club Cup (at Valencia) and to try to win for third year in a row the spanish collegiate championship. I hope the following news will be about competitions or something good, not as lately.
My injury is getting better

2/12/2006

Pain is leaving me due to an infiltration at my back. Now I'm able to do sprint series with spike shoes and some more weightlifting exercices.
When I'm ready I'll start vaulting with poles, but without any rush at all, I want to be at my 100% by July and August.

Talking about other matters, here's a pic. What happens when you plant too far away and don't jump? Click the picture to see it full size. The result: my first clearance at 5'30.

530 clearance

Troubles without an end

1/5/2006

My back injury doesn't leave me. I won't compete indoors this year again. I'll try to get fit from May and have a good outdoor season.

I have spondilolisis at L5 and I haven't got any problems since 1995. But this year, jumping with stiffer poles and maybe forgetting a little bit to work on my back, I've gotten in this situation again. There's nothing more to do than working hard with a lot of illusion.
New video section

There's a new section in the web. Now you can enjoy with jumps from national and foreign vaulters in the videos section.
This section will grow, so if you want to contribute you only have to send me the video (about pole vaulting).

Video: miss 5'41

07/06/2005
At Serrahima (Barcelona), after clearing 5'30.

A "good" start for the season

12/4/2005

I haven't vaulted since August, I have my back injured since I was a child and the pain returned this September. Nothing serious, a little bit of resting and lots of exercices.
This indoor season isn't going to be as I expected, but what's true is that I'll do my best to get fit!!!

5'35 Personal Best !!!

7/29/2005

I wanted to make up my bad competition at the nationals and I did the job. I had a very good miss at 5'45, isn't so far... it was at Serrahima (Barcelona).

My trainning mate, Igor Bichkov also improved his pb to 5'10 being a junior!!!!!
